Sleigh Ride in Kościelisko – Tradition and Winter Magic in the Tatra Mountains

Join us for an unforgettable highlander sleigh ride in the picturesque village of Kościelisko! If you are planning a stay in Zakopane, this winter adventure is an absolute must. Our sleigh ride offers a magical journey through beautiful mountain scenery, illuminated by the warm glow of torches, creating a truly unique evening atmosphere.

The ride takes place in the area of the Kościeliska Valley, one of the most charming places in the Tatra Mountains. During the approximately one-hour ride, you will have the chance to enjoy the peaceful winter landscape, admire the surrounding nature, and experience a traditional mountain-style adventure.

After the sleigh ride, we invite you to a cozy bonfire feast, where you can enjoy regional food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The menu includes grilled sausage, oscypek cheese, sour cabbage soup, highlander tea, regular tea, bread, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. A live highlander band will make the evening even more special with traditional music performed by the fire.

The program includes:

• Pick-up from your accommodation in Zakopane or Kościelisko, with other locations available upon request
• A torch-lit sleigh ride along the scenic routes of Kościelisko
• A ride in 4-, 8-, or 10-person sleighs
• A bonfire feast with regional refreshments
• Grilled sausages, oscypek cheese, sour cabbage soup, and hot tea
• Live music performed by a traditional highlander band
• Return transfer to your accommodation

Duration

Approximately 2.5–3 hours.

Start times

The sleigh ride starts daily at 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Departure from Zakopane takes place approximately 40 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Prices for the 2026/2027 winter season

Adult: 160 PLN
Child up to 10 years old: 140 PLN

The price includes:

• Round-trip transport from Zakopane and Kościelisko
• A one-hour sleigh ride in an 8- or 10-person sleigh
• A one-hour bonfire feast with a live highlander band
• Torches during the sleigh ride

In case of insufficient snow, the sleighs will be replaced by horse-drawn carriages.
